Wonder what it's like volunteering with us? Well heres what our current volunteers say:
I have been a volunteer for project theatre for several years. Since we started we have done lots of workshops and done a few big productions which has been very exciting for the company and volunteers. Being a volunteer for project theatre is fun and there are lots of opportunities, from helping out at workshops to back stage work during shows !
It is a good chance to get more experience in this type of business and to learn and improve on your skills and most of all it is fun :)
Volunteer for project theatre !!
I am Bruce Smith and I have been a volunteer with Project Theatre for 6 months. Becoming a volunteer was the best thing I have done this year as it has allow me to get to know new people, work in a team and become a more confident individual.
As Technical Director I have to work alongside Jamie (Artistic Director) and Shona (Assistant Director) to make sure that what they want in terms of Sound & Stage Lighting they get in order to make the production a success. This has also taught me interpersonal skills such as being Reliable, Punctual, Approachable and Responsible.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in helping out in Theatre & Arts to become a volunteer with Project Theatre as it allows you to develop your understanding of Theatre and develop yourself as a person.

I have been a volutenter with Project Theatre for about 2 years. I am the assistant director and stage manager. I have enjoyed my time at PT and hope to contiune at the theatre group during their next performance.
I enjoy working with all the other volunteers as they are a great and willing group of people. The kids involved in PT are great as they are all willing to learn and take part in the shows.
Shona, Volunteer since 2010.
